This past Thursday’s DFA Launch Party was more successful than we ever could have imagined! Over 120 guys showed up, with many staying well past the 9:30 p.m. closing time. (Check out our group photo to see just some of the men who stayed to the very end!)

It was a sexy and friendly crowd of men of all ages, in and out of gear, meeting and making friends and enjoying being out together as a community. It was clear that attendees were excited both about our vision and about what might be coming next!

Special thanks to all who stepped up to help put the night together, including Matt Sorrentino, Christopher Bates, Brian Bohler, Ted Guice, Paul Perrotta, and John McBain. Thanks as well to Papa Tony of FetishMenSanDiego who did our flogging demo and was busy all night! And another thank you to Hunters, which was super-helpful and provided us with drink coupons for everyone who showed.

Most of all, thanks to all of you who came out and demonstrated your support, especially those of you who visited from as far away as Riverside, San Diego and Orange County. You made it overwhelmingly known that we had a worthy idea and that you wanted to be a part of it, and for that we couldn’t be more grateful.

What’s Next?

We’re currently tabulating the surveys that we distributed to solicit information about your interests and next-step ideas. If you’d like to add your own voice to the mix, you can pick up and return one at Gear. An online version has just been posted here as well! Our goal is to have our next activity planned by the end of the month.
