The Palm Springs Bondage Club is a monthly community BDSM play party. Here’s what you need to know.

Who’s putting this on?

The Palm Springs Bondage Club is a collaboration between dedicated volunteers and the Desert Fetish Authority. We’re not looking to make money, just to cover expenses, and we are doing this as a service to the Leather and Kink community here in Palm Springs.

When does the Palm Springs Bondage Club meet?

In general, we meet on the second Saturday of every month, with a few exceptions during the year to accommodate scheduling conflicts with our venue or with other events.

Who can attend?

Monthly play parties are open to absolutely everyone who wants to get tied up, tie someone up, flog, get flogged, whip, get whipped, etc.

What goes on there?

Here is how a meeting runs:

Set Up

Doors open. Mix and mingle.

Doors close. You must be there within a half hour of opening to take part.

We start by standing in a circle and introducing ourselves, letting people know what we’re into and what we’re looking for that night. If you find someone who is your counterpart, get busy!

Pizza break!

Wind down what you’re doing. It’s time to clean up and call it a night.

Everything is put away and the place is left how we found it. Time to say goodnight.

Palm Springs Bondage ClubWhat are “The Rules” at the Palm Springs Bondage Club?

Common sense. Clean up after yourself, try not to monopolize the equipment, be courteous and respectful of your play partners. Look for the guys in the safety vests. They’re there to help you. If you’re doing something for the first time, they are happy to talk you through it.

Please keep in mind that the focus of the Palm Springs Bondage Club is BDSM, rather than sex. We love sex, but although there are plenty of places around town where you can have sex, there aren’t any where you can do serious BDSM. Until now.

We have a policy of “no blow jobs or fucking” not in the context of a scene. But we’re not strict about it. Also, the venue where we meet cannot have outright sex going on, so please respect this. And, unfortunately, that extends to fisting. Again, we love fisting, and we are hoping to get a fisting party meeting regularly up and running sometime soon, but for now, please take your hungry holes elsewhere.

And, because BDSM is not without risks, please refrain from heavy alcohol or drug use when you plan to play.

If you want to take pictures, that’s fine. Ask the people you are taking pictures of for their permission and honor their decision if they decline. If someone asks to take your picture, keep in mind that there are really no guarantees of how far and wide it may spread.

One more thing: dungeon etiquette. Do not join in uninvited. If you would like to make a contribution to a scene, ask the Top, and remember that “no” is a complete sentence. And do not assume that a bottom left unattended is public property. If you’re not sure who the Top is, find the dungeon concierge in the safety vest and ask them for guidance.

Is it only open to experienced BDSM players?

We hope that someone with no experience and someone with decades of experience will find the Palm Springs Bondage Club a place where they can explore new things and get the good, hard, satisfying play they want. If you’re just starting out, keep in mind that our motto is “Fortune favors the bold.” Don’t hesitate to approach someone to ask if they want to play, and it is recommended that you be as specific as possible in what you’re asking for.

How do I get invited?

If you like what you’ve read and you would like to attend, send an email to raisedbywolves@mac.com. Include your name as it appears on your photo ID that you will need to present at the door. Briefly describe your level of experience and how you like or would like to play. The admission is $10. If you volunteer to help with set-up or shut-down, that is reduced to $5. And, if you have equipment or supplies of cash value greater than $50 dollars that you would like to lend us for the night or to donate to the club, that will get your admission down to $5 also. We will keep all the information you give us confidential. We do not sell or distribute a list of our members to anyone.
