Pardon the delay in getting this update in place. It’s just that your webmaster was super occupied with a major work project last month!
In any case, major kudos to Alex Ironrod, Hank Smith and Bruce Linton for organizing a stellar DFA event on June 16. For those of you who don’t remember, Alex opened his home (and his dungeon!) for a staged reading from his latest BDSM novel, Red Knight Rising. Within days of its announcement, the guest list reached its fifty person maximum!
Participants arrived at 6:30 pm to tour the playroom and socialize on the pool deck. Greeting them were hunky bondage displays featuring models Dennis, Jim, Michael, Stefen, Steve & Tim. Bondage Masters David, Domasan, and Mike created the scenes, while Guardians Jerry, David, Nick and Randy made sure that everyone stayed safe and sound. Bartender Craig served up beer and soft drinks and everyone enjoyed the camaraderie of the erotic setting.
At 7 pm guests took their seats and Alex introduced the gathering to Red Knight Rising, his tale of fierce BDSM love between two young English knights drawn together with King Richard the Lionheart to fight on one of the Crusades. Alex took on the role of the narrator; while Ted read the role of Bruce, the Red Knight; Kurt read the role of Harry, the White Knight; and Ken (yours truly) read as King Richard. After two chapters and a rousing round of applause, guests mingled and conversed late into the evening.
Special thanks to Alex, Hank and Bruce for planning a fun, memorable event and to Damian Day for documenting it with his photography. And, of course, thanks to everyone all who volunteered to play roles during the festivities, to Greg, Tom and Michael for cleaning up, and to everyone who attended!
What’s next?
This just goes to show that anyone can propose and organize a DFA event! It’s fun and it doesn’t need to be hard! And to prove it, check out our next two posts! Both of these ideas were generated within our Facebook Group.
